About Dr. Shimizu
Dr. Shimizu found her passion in dentistry at a young age when she realized that she could combine her love of helping people with her interest in the medical field. A native of Northern California, she received her Bachelor of Science from UC Davis before completing the rigorous dental program at the University of the Pacific. Dr. Shimizu then completed her general practice residency at the McClellan Veterans Affairs Health System.
Drawn by the ever-changing scope of dentistry, Dr. Shimizu keeps her knowledge up-to-date by attending continuing education classes and seminars to incorporate the latest technologies available today into her clinical work. She believes that patients should understand their oral health and always have the time for them to ask questions they have always wondered about their teeth to help achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
When not in the office, she enjoys cooking, playing tennis, watching TV series, and playing video games with her fiancé.
