Dentures

Dentures are made through a detailed, multi-step process to ensure a custom fit and natural appearance:

• Initial Impressions: The dentist takes molds of your gums and any remaining teeth to create a preliminary model.
• Custom Trays & Final Impressions: Special trays are made to take a more precise impression of your mouth.
• Bite Registration: Measurements of how your jaws align are recorded to ensure proper bite and comfort.
• Wax Try-In: A wax model with artificial teeth is created so you can try it on for fit, function, and appearance. Adjustments are made as needed.
• Final Denture Fabrication: The approved model is sent to a dental lab, crafted from durable materials like acrylic or metal, and has porcelain or acrylic teeth.
• Fitting and Adjustments: Once ready, the dentures are fitted, and any final tweaks are made for comfort and function.

Dentures typically last 5 to 10 years, depending on the material used, how well they’re cared for, and changes in your mouth over time. Even if dentures are in good condition, your gums and jawbone can shift, affecting the fit. Regular checkups help ensure they remain comfortable and functional. Over time, you may need adjustments, relining, or replacement to maintain a secure fit and preserve your oral health.

We offer complete and partial dentures:

• Complete Dentures: Replace all the teeth in either the upper or lower arch (or both). They rest directly on the gums and are used when no natural teeth remain.
• Partial Dentures: Replace one or more missing teeth while some natural teeth remain. They usually attach to the remaining teeth with metal clasps or precision attachments.
